English specification desk How guides are written

Editorial policy

Each guide is meant to answer one real specification question. Pages are not created by pairing a product with a list of adjectives. “Waterproof mini industrial PCB” is a section inside a board or enclosure guide, not its own URL.

The opening set of guides was prepared by the Tradinor desk from public standards and ordinary datasheet practice, including IPC board and assembly documents and IEC 60529 for IP codes. Figures are original to this site.

Later guides may be drafted by an open model running on this server and are published only when they are substantial, written in English, and free of topics this desk will not cover: covert surveillance, chemical synthesis, or invented certificate numbers. The model is a drafting tool. It is not an accredited laboratory.

Tradinor does not sell rankings, accept payment for a product claim, or invent part numbers and prices. If a rating matters to safety or compliance, confirm it on the manufacturer’s current datasheet and, where a law applies, with the document named in the guide.

Send corrections to editor@tradinor.com. Updated guides show the revision date at the top of the article.
